As of January 23rd, 2026 – A chinchilla may be placed on hold for a $50 non-refundable deposit. When the chinchilla is picked up, the deposit will be deducted from the total cost. A chinchilla will only be held for up to two weeks, unless an arrangement is made for a longer hold period. Boarding cost for a hold period longer than two weeks will be added to the total price ($10/week after two weeks).
